One of the most requested items from people experiencing homelessness is an ID. You need an ID to get a job, housing, and receive services. That’s why the first bill I ever introduced was #AB464, to reduce the barriers for those in need to access and ID & public documents.

#AB464 will remove cost barriers at the point of service for IDs and vital records needed for jobs and housing.

#AB464 Allows Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts (EIFD’s) to use additional property tax revenue for housing and related services. EIFD’s are special districts set up by local govt to reinvest increases in tax $ from an area back into that area. Signed into law on 6/28

Most of the tax proposals didn't make it, the one remaining one is #AB464 to allow Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts to fund housing. EIFD's capture increased taxes from a growing neighborhood to spend it in the same area.
