Tartus. A civilian resident of Tartus, Muhammad Halwa (Hamada), a well-known sports coach, was kidnapped by HTS terrorists. He was abducted together with Sheikh Saleh Saud. The kidnapping, disguised as an arrest, was carried out by a group of jihadists affiliated with the al-Julani regime. Since the arrest—or rather, the abduction—all contact with Hamada has been cut off, and credible information has emerged indicating that he was brutally beaten. Members of the so-called Public Security Service, part of the terrorist network, contacted Hamada’s family and demanded a ransom of $40,000 for his release.

Since his rise to power, thousands of Alawite employees have been dismissed from their jobs, over 10,000 families have lost breadwinners to arbitrary detention, and retirees have seen their pensions cut off entirely. Dozens of sectarian checkpoints surround Alawite villages, turning them into open-air prisons where kidnapping, theft, and humiliation are daily realities. Agricultural lands, homes, and vehicles are routinely set ablaze or seized, and in many areas, Alawites are extorted to pay tribute simply to avoid being attacked. The minimal aid that enters the coast is being disproportionately diverted to favored Sunni communities, leaving Alawite families with nothing, not even bread for Eid. In this war of deprivation, hunger has no religion. But history will remember who wielded it as a weapon.

The Alawi wanted to keep their #AlawiteState declared in 1920 when #France mandated by the Society of Nations declared the State of #GreaterLebanon (a poisoned gift to The #MaroniteNation that would have been much better off with the #MountLebanon of 1862.) and at same time in 1920 France declared the State of Aleppo and the State of Damascus and the State of The Druze. When France 🇫🇷 finance ministry insisted for lack of funds to finance these 4States insisting to federate them in the State of #Syria The Alawi leaders (Including Assad Granfather), begged to be added to Greater Lebanon, offering to the Maronite Patriarch Hoayek to convert massively to #MaroniteChristianity Rome (that should not have been asked), opposed that conversion, leaving the Alawites at the mercy of Syria’s Sunni majority that treated them historically as persecuted Kuffar (apostates) not as Moslems. The Assad family joined the Greater Syria Party that lost its Nazi Germany Sponsor, in WW1 and was adopted cynically by GB. As many Alawites they joined massively the Syrian Army for economic and for seeking fair treatment as second class citizens! A judicial problem that happened to Hafez Assad brother Rifaat, forced the two officers to join the Bahth Pan-Arab governing Party. That lead, after many military coups d’états to Hafez Assad governance of Syria in 1970. Now, with many occupying forces in Syria, and many revolutionary militias, the most prominent of them being that supported by Islamist Erdogan of Turkey, namely #HTS the last version of #ISIS specially designed for Syria and lead by a Syrian called by ISIS Al-Julani of Al-Nusra Militia. Now to become “fréquentable”, by the International Community that he’s expecting that it will rehabilitate him as non-terrorist lifting the ten $million bounty on his head; he decided to be called by his name Ahmad AlSharh. Fair enough but not enough to reassure Non Sunni Syrians⚠️ I happen to be convinced, that there is One Way to #SaveSyria that is to reset it bact to 1920 four States at least, with minor modification of maps, like giving access to the Mediterranean to the Sunni States, as in Latakia or elsewhere, in Sunni north of #Lebanon

My article, "The #Alawi Capture of Power in Syria" provides context to understand the recent Alawi loss of power. "The establishment of French rule benefited Alawis more than any other community in #Syria. In return, Alawis helped maintain French rule." https://t.co/mGX0xoPKed

Mohammad AlJolani ELIMINATED by a Russian strike! The NEXT STOP is #Homs That will be enough to restore two States founded in 1920, the #AlawiteState and the #AleppoState 🥸 As for the "State of Damascus" it may imminently have its own #Coup soon. But NOT likely lead by the present insurgents. The forth State, that is the #DruzeState it’s taking shape in #Sueida south of #Syria It is already on the making under #Israeli protection ! The REORGANIZATION of the #Levant is underway! Greater Lebanon is Next to be up for REORGANIZATION along the lines of the Nation of #MountLebanon of 1862; (Attached map 👇) and what #France added (recklessly) in 1920, offering the #MaroniteNation the poisonous gift of #GreaterLebanon

If Assad gets couped by Sunni generals & Hama/Homs are cut, Alawites will likely end up as another separate faction in the conflict like the Kurds

As they rejected under the pressure of the #Jesuits on the #Vatican the offer of the Alawites to convert to Maronity and be added to #GreaterLebanon in 1920-22 when the #FrenchMandate wanted to federate the #AlawiteState with %Aleppo and #Damascus states ! That would have saved #LewaaIskandaroun from being annexed to #Turkey in 1937. The #MaronitePatriarch shouldn’t have allowed the Vatican to dictate its decision. I am certain that The next Patriarch ARIDA would have accepted the Alawites offer regardless of the #Vatican opposition ! Patriarch ARIDA was committed to the absolute sovereignty of The #MaroniteNation and its #Church as was #EmileEddé
