During the session, participants are exploring #financialliteracy, understanding how to safely use mobile money and e-banking to send and receive payments, track transactions and make smarter financial decisions for their businesses.
Because empowerment is not about #digitalskills alone it’s also about how money is earned, managed and protected to build real #financial stability.

In the districts of #Kapelebyong and #Amudat, a powerful shift is happening. Under the #herdigitalfuture skilling program, women entrepreneurs are transforming a familiar tool #WhatsApp into a professional engine for business growth.
The story starts with a simple realization: the same app used for family updates is a gateway to the global marketplace.
By introducing #WhatsAppBusiness, these women are learning to build professional profiles, catalogs, and automated greeting messages that treat every "Hello" like a walk-in customer.
For a woman in this program, her daily routine changes. Her morning starts with checking Status views for new leads. Her afternoon is spent coordinating with suppliers via audio calls. Her evening is spent in a group chat, celebrating a peer’s first "digital sale."
Through #practical demonstrations and peer-to-peer learning, confidence is blooming. These women aren't just using an app; they are designing their own economic futures.

Today, we are in #Amudat.
In the border district, mechanization services are mainly sourced from Kenya. These solutions, often four-wheel tractors, are timely but expensive.
The smallholder farmers here opine that small-scale mechanization would provide affordable solutions.

➡️Sensitising farmers on disease control strategies in communal grazing systems.
Pastoralism is the main livelihood source for communities in #Karamoja, yet low rains pose a significant threat to #livestock production.
Under the EU funded #PLACE initiative, @FAO is preparing to de-silt and rehabilitate Akurawoyam Valley Tank in #Amudat district.
