A key point to take from this is that APRV had better oxygenation but no difference in mortality. Same thing the #ARDSNet saw in the ARMA LTV study in 1999. Better oxygenation does not = better survival. An important lesson in surrogate endpoints. #CriticalCare #MedTwitter
