Labour recently voted against reviewing the policy after six months, despite knowing its consequences will take years to unfold. We won’t let them forget that we warned them:
a. The policy disrupts children’s education and increases mental health strain.
b. SEN pupils risk losing vital specialist care.
c. Military families face impossible choices.
d. Local economies will suffer.
e. Displaced pupils will add to pressure state schools, costing taxpayers millions.
f. Lower-income families will be disproportionately harmed by the loss of bursaries.
g. Labour ignored the lessons of Greece and the known consequences.
The January introduction is a cynical move to avoid negative headlines, but we won’t let them hide the truth. Opposition parties, step up.
