Today, the 13th East African Health Federation (EAHF) Conference and International Health Exhibition officially opened at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, in the presence of H.E. Temesgen Tiruneh, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The conference brings together Ministers and State Ministers of Health, health sector leaders, professionals, partners, and private sector actors from across the region and beyond. It is an opportunity to share experiences, learn from one another, strengthen partnerships, and explore collective solutions to the health challenges we face.
Ethiopia remains committed to advancing its health reform agenda, with a focus on building a stronger, more resilient and sustainable health system, anchored in quality primary health care and supported by a capable health workforce, sustainable health financing, digital transformation, and stronger local production and supply systems.
Delivering this agenda requires all of us to work together. Government, health institutions, development and implementing partners, academia, professional associations, and the private sector each have an important role to play. In particular, the private health sector brings valuable capacity in innovation, technology, and investment.
I look forward to the conversations, partnerships, and practical ideas that will emerge from this conference as we work together towards stronger, more resilient health systems across our region.
My sincere appreciation to H.E. Temesgen Tiruneh for joining us as Guest of Honour and delivering the opening remarks, and to all our partners and participants for being part of this important gathering.

Addis Ababa by Night.
No oil, but the economy is booming cars moving around people having a good time.
Our problem in Nigeria is man made,
We don't need God's intervention.
Put the right people in the right place, things will definitely change.

You don't hear such news from #Oromia, #Benishangul or #Amhara & yet #Tigray continues to ship its precious resources to the very regime in #AddiAbaba whose primary policy is to wipe out #Tigray|ans for 100 yrs to come! ብሓቂ ዘይተዓደለት ትግራይ፥ ሎሚ ድማ ብደቃ ተሓሚሳ!
Abiy's dictatorship can never allow a democratic #Ethiopia to prosper.

.@UN hosting a conference on access to the internet in #Ethiopia is wrong. The gov't has imposed an internet blackout on #Tigray for 2yrs. The @intgovforum should hold #IGF2022 in a country that respects #freespeech and doesn't regularly block its citizens from internet access.
Good morning Africa!
