Day Two of the #AmaniConference closed with stakeholders turning dialogue into commitments towards a peaceful, cohesive and democratic 2027 General Election. Building on yesterday’s deliberations, the forum engaged in critical conversations on responsible political leadership and ethical campaigning, emphasising the need for issue-based politics, respect for democracy and peaceful engagement during the electoral period and beyond. A key milestone was the presentation of the Political Parties Peace Charter for the 2027 General Elections, which was presented to political parties for review and consideration as a framework for strengthening responsible political conduct and promoting peaceful electoral competition. The two-day forum culminated in the adoption of a Joint Communiqué, bringing together shared commitments by stakeholders to safeguard peace and national cohesion. The Communiqué calls for strengthened early warning and response mechanisms, responsible communication, peaceful coexistence and collective action against violence, hate speech, ethnic contempt and other conduct that threatens Kenya’s peace. @WorldVisionKE @ODPP_KE @NSCpeace @irck_info @NPSOfficial_KE @ORPPKenya #UchaguziBilaNoma #OnePeopleOneNationOneDestiny
