Here’s a character I’d not heard of. #JohnBigg (1629-1696) a.k.a The Dinton Hermit of Bucks. His great boots of tacked on leather are displayed at the #Ashmolean. A former Clerk to #JudgeMayne, executed for regicide in 1661, caused Bigg to flee & live in a cave.
