Thanks to Kevin WA7FWF we managed to restore the original (i.e. higher) TX power level on #AstroBioCubeSat. For the moment we are not going to change the frequency as it is a more complex work. Anyway we notified the IARU the current change in TX and RX frequency to 437.425MHz
@Zathras_42 #AstroBioCubeSat now also transmits with reduced power (but I could decode it below 8700km). As a consequence it is cooling down and therefore it reduces the beacon interval to 5s to heat itself up after the eclipse.
@Zathras_42 I confirm my hypothesis: radio had a factory reset. So #AstroBioCubeSat for the moment transmits at 437.425MHz but it's alive!
I am very happy. My AX25 frame sent by the #AstroBioCubeSat satellite via the FTM300 transceiver was received during the last flight over Europe!

Due to the challenges of the 5800km orbit inside the van Allen belt, we preferred a simple, effective but reliable approach for the digipeater of #AstroBioCubeSat. So, HAMxxxxxx with ASTROBIO forwarding CQxxxxxx ;-)
#AstroBioCubeSat seems to have restarted its experiment. Note the reboot counter 247. Was 196 the last time I decoded it about 12 hours ago.
Here my hs_soundmodem settings when #AstroBioCubeSat #astrobio has received my msg.
I had just enabled KISS Optimization.
Could that be the explanation?

#AstroBioCubeSat status info: AstroBioCubeSat is experiencing hard times in that harsh environment. It's gone through many reboots (which are a good alternative to remaining stuck) and also through at least one (scheduled) power cycle. (continues...)
#AstroBioCubeSat update: following the suggestion of Scott Tilley @coastal8049 I used the TLE 53107 (object 2022-80C) and they work definitely better than the one that we published in our site. We're going to update them soon. Thank you Scott!
