@AlexRoy144 @TheSmokingTire @mikehoepfinger Why does it have to be such a binary conclusion? "It is or it is not self driving". Can you see any benefits in between manual and self driving and if so, can you enumerate?

#BikeSchool A3: My kid says she loves biking but she only feels safe when she doesn't have to jockey for position among cars. As much as DC says we can value cycling, there are only a dozen miles of protected bike lane in total. (Some okay off-road trails help a little.)

Or we could implement #ParallelAutomation, standardize #ADAS and develop #AugmentedDriving & #DrivingEnvelopeProtections, and deliver safety AND freedom to all.

We are still making street-legal cars that go 100mph over our maximum speed limits, and some folks are upset about e-scooters that max out around 15mph, and want to limit them. When will we see automation control max speeds of cars on streets?

Everytime an AV developer says it’s all about safety, I think of the intellectual and moral failure of EVERYONE who doesn’t put ADAS, #AugmentedDriving & driver education first, which would be far cheaper and quicker to market than AVs.

@ToyotaResearch @ToyotaMotorCorp @Toyota_AI_VC is the only company publicly working on L4 AND #AugmentedDriving, which they call #Guardian In the future any carmaker that doesn’t offer a Guardian-type system IN ADDITION TO L4 will be out of business.

I support #ParallelAutomation, #AugmentedDriving, more ADAS, and a realistic view on #SelfDrivingCars I’ve been very enthusiastic about AP since the beginning. If you read, you would know this. What else you got?
