So... is #Bioclogging a thing yet in #Turf... anyone else thought that the science of water movement through sands or soils doesn't always work, that there may be invisible barriers within soil profiles especially with high inputs? #SoilOchre #IRBs #SRBs #TheConsequenceOfExcess

For our @arc_gov_au funded #Linkage project we invite EOI via email from eligible candidates for a #PhD #scholarship in #bioclogging of #porous media during treatment of #acidic #groundwater. #StrategicWaterInfrastructureLab #SWIL #SchoolCME @uowresearch @UOW #ResearchDirector

Look at the #GlutinousMass that #IronRelatedBacteria create as they feed off the energy exchanged as #FerrousBecomesFerric... #IronOchre 🤔 All it needs is oxygen..... #FerricWheel #Bioclogging

@PenderSuper These #IRBs potentially form #bioclogging layers within 55mm to 90mm off the surface .. below this there will be a significant drop off in soil water volumes and increase in air % Water moves sideways not downwards on affected areas.. You aerated or you drain.. it cements over 🎡

Hmmmmmm.🤔..... Some very interesting colours in the ground today.... Part of the problem, consequence or both...... ? Inherent to the soil type regardless I know what I think... 🤓 #FerricWheel #IronPan #Bioclogging

@IrrTurfSvcs @PenderSuper @DerekSheffield If it starts cycling from mobile to oxidation then that's when the real fun starts.. #Bioclogging

This is interesting, seen it first hand, despite the specifications, despite the testing, despite the build quality & checking #BlackLayer sets in.. Normally when Maintenance kicks in & Product applications abound to excess. #Glitter Are there other factors at play? #BioClogging

The onset of black layer on the greens of a coastal South Carolina course prompted re-evaluation of a number of agronomic practices and a multifaceted counterattack: https://t.co/hpae5qO8y8. #GCMrewind

@PenderSuper @altshot2 @Ltowngolf @J_J_Dempsey Agreed.. Approaches can get too much without realising with overlap applications meaning actual applied rates can be worst case over double plus per sq.m .. #TheConsequenceOfExcess Add #PreferentialFlowPaths & #Bioclogging & even more #Glitter ends up seeping out the fronts..
