In Science, Year 4 Ash have developed their understanding of electrical circuits and built their own switches to use in a series circuit.💡 They used cardboard as the base (an insulator) and push pins/paper clips (conductors) for the on/off switch of a bulb. #BramblesScience
In Science, Year 4 Ash have explored electrical components and circuits using a range of challenge cards. After many combination attempts, Esther, Aila & Adam were so excited to finally complete their electrical circuit which was able to light up two bulbs! 💡🪫 #BramblesScience
Shazain in Year 4 Ash loved our school trip to the National Science & Media Museum @MediaMuseum so much that he decided to write all about it at home! It's fantastic to see his application of the writing features we have been working on in class. #BramblesScience #BramblesWriting

2/2 Thank you to the National Science & Media Museum for having Year 4 Ash for our school trip today @MediaMuseum. 🧑🔬The class enjoyed learning about light and sound at the 'Wonderlab', the 'Kodak' photography gallery and the interactive 'Giant Leaps' exhibition. #BramblesScience

In #BramblesScience to show cross-pollination, we looked at how pollen from one flower transfers to another

For #BritishScienceWeek2023 the children in Reception Class had a fantastic time carrying out an experiment to find out how craters are formed. They enjoyed watching what happened when the different sized rocks hit the surface of the moon #BramblesScience #BramblesUW

For #BritishScienceWeek2023, Year 4 Ash have compared the patterns in their fingerprints using charcoal, built a harness to transport eggs down a zip wire as part of a STEM project AND made giant bubbles to visualise how light is made up of a range of colours.🌈#BramblesScience
For #britishscienceweek we looked at what a plant needs to survive. A(Alan) had no sunlight, B (Billy) had no water, C (Charlie) had no air and D(Doris) was our control #bramblesscience

2 Willows experiment for #BSW2023 @ScienceWeekUK
Finding out what happens to the egg in water, when salt is added!
I had some brilliant predictions and answers to my questions! Really animated and engaged session, as you can see! #BramblesScience

Year 4 Ash have been participating in British Science Week #BSW2023 at home over the last couple of days.👩🔬 Lilah has investigated the habitats of bees in the local area before researching further into the endangered species🐝and AH made his own hot air balloon! #BramblesScience

Fantastic work in Reception remembering the planets in the solar system in order.

In Reception we have been learning about the solar system as part of our ‘To Infinity and Beyond!’ topic.
the children have loved learning about he different planets and the order that they come in the Solar System.
well done everyone!

In Science, Year 4 Ash were asked to investigate the statement: Sounds are made when objects vibrate. By placing counters on a drum🥁, the children were able to observe the drum skin vibrating when hit and causing the air around it (and the counters) to move. #BramblesScience
Look what we found on our security cameras!

Year 4 Ash have been learning about states of matter as part of their new Science topic. The children have worked in groups to investigate the structure of particles found in solids, liquids and gases before presenting their findings to the class. #BramblesScience
3 Holly have been looking at push and pull forces in #BramblesScience We learned that many objects can be both pushed or pulled!
