KCB Bank Uganda Managing Director, Edgar Byamah, officially launched the #BuildingGreatMen programme with a ribbon cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a transformative journey of growth, leadership, and self discovery for the inaugural cohort.
The ceremony marked KCB Bankโs commitment to investing in its people by creating opportunities for personal development, intentional leadership, and lifelong learning.

KCB Bank Uganda Managing Director and Team Captain, Edgar Byamah, officially welcomed the 32 participants to the inaugural cohort of the six month #BuildingGreatMen Development Programme.
In his remarks, he reflected on how different cultures mark the transition into manhood and applauded KCB Bankโs investment in partnering with Alpha Lead to intentionally develop its male workforce.
He encouraged participants to fully embrace the journey by remaining open to feedback, making intentional choices, expressing their strength in healthy ways, building meaningful relationships with colleagues, showing respect, and actively participating throughout the six month programme.
He challenged the men to emerge from the programme as better brothers, fathers, friends, colleagues, and leaders. As the pioneer cohort, he noted, they have the unique opportunity to set the standard and inspire future participants who will follow in their footsteps.

Our Head of Human Resources, Patience Arinaitwe, underscored the importance of the #BuildingGreatMen program, noting that:
โFrom childhood, girls are often taught how to sit, speak, smile, and carry themselves. Boys, on the other hand, are simply told to โbe a man,โ yet few take the time to unpack what that truly means.โ
Through the Building Great Men program, KCB Bank is creating that space by equipping our male staff with the skills, confidence, and self awareness to become intentional leaders who make a positive impact in the workplace, their families, and the communities they serve.
#ForPeopleForBetter
The stage is set for meaningful conversations, bold leadership, and lasting impact.
#BuildingGreatMen starts at KCB Bank in partnership with Alpha Lead Limited.
