91yo decorated @USAirforce officer and pilot with 26 years service, 2 combat tours in Viet Nam, my dad, faces food insecurity, loss of home and life insurance due to DFAS illegal withholding of retirement pay for 7 months and counting. DFAS only stalls and makes excuses.
Have exhausted all govt. agency channels. I am his POA. It's my responsibility to solve. Now tapping friends, colleagues and the media.

DFAS is broken. Certainly other families affected. DM me for details, copious notes and documentation. Getting suspicious DFAS has a MANDATE to stall. Rejected my POA 'cuz "Doctor's note not addressed to, 'To Whom it May Concern'".
I mean, c'mon.
Is this how @DeptofWar is paying for the #IranWar - holding up retirement pay for as long as possible? Is this how we are managing #DefenseSpending - by dumping on vets?
Photo attached is dad in a B52 loaded with 2 nukes circling Soviet air space 24 hrs on, 24 hrs off for 13 straight days of Cuban Missile Crisis. The man is a fountain of cold war military history and would love to talk to you. Lots of story here. Major, major contributor to our country's security.
Is this really how we treat our vets @PeteHegseth? The man who helped saved this nation from a nuclear war just inches away no longer deserves his retirement pay?

If this can happen to a retired Lt. Colonel - 26 years of service, 2 Viet Nam combat tours - they will abandon your family too. Not a glitch, a war of attrition against a 91yo hero who now faces food insecurity, loss of home and life insurance.
