“Since last night, the #KukiMilitants #Kukis have reportedly been firing sophisticated weapons from three locations-one along the #Chassad-#Kamjong axis and two other positions at #Shangkai and #Mangkot #Chepu. Disturbingly, these actions are said to have taken place in the presence of Central Forces.
The indiscriminate firing has specifically targeted the #Tangkhul #Naga villages of #Kamjong, #Sharkaphung and #Thoyee.
As a result of this unprovoked aggression, two innocent civilians-Mr. Ringyui Ramror (approximately 30 years old) and Mr. Raichan Lungleng (approximately 25 years old) both from Sharkaphung Tangkhul Village-have sustained injuries to their legs and feet.”

Today in Ukhrul district, at Kuki ancestral #Chassad Village, the cemetery belonging to the #KukiCommunity was disturbed when the Manipuri Naga #Tangkhul community constructed a road without the consent or permission of the Kuki Community. This act is not a simple mistake or misunderstanding. It is a direct challenge, an act of deliberate provocation, and a deep violation of our ancestral land and the dignity of our people.
Until today, sections of the #ManipuriNagaTangkhul community have been actively supporting @ArambaiTen96606 #MeiteiLeepun, Manipur Meitei militants, Myanmar Meitei militants, and @manipur_police by facilitating and dividing various forms of weapons. Such actions have repeatedly threatened the peace and security of the Kuki Community. What has happened at Chassad Village is another unwanted and alarming act that exposes hostile intentions toward our people.
We strongly urge the highest authorities to immediately look into this grave matter. These repeated provocations risk igniting further conflict, especially when there are already indications of pre-planned coordination with the Meitei Community. It is deeply concerning that even during President’s Rule, Meitei MLAs are reportedly visiting newly emerged NSCN (IM) leaders, creating fear and insecurity among the Kuki people.
The Kuki Community remains committed to maintaining peace at any cost. However, peace does not mean silence in the face of aggression. We will not accept any form of armed intimidation, harassment, or violation of our ancestral homes and sacred spaces. Our land carries the memory of our ancestors, and we stand firm to protect it with dignity, restraint, and unity.
