I call on @MayorWu @MassGovernor Maura Healey to please address the #cheeringwhileblack incident that took place last weekend @bostonmarathon. Your citizens being surrounded by police for cheering? It's disturbing, frightening, unacceptable.

To date, the only @teambaa response abt #CheeringWhileBlack (via @fast_women newsletter) “The B.A.A. is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for athletes, volunteers and spectators across all our events.” But this is exactly what DID NOT happen. We're waiting...

A group of mostly black friends and family were gathered to support their friends running in the Bost Marathon, at Mile 21 Newton, MA, When they got unexpected company. The local police surrounded the group, blocking them with their bicycles turned longways.
