🎨The 220,000-square-foot building features an expansive glass atrium, an open public area looking towards the White House, an exhibition gallery, and function spaces for ceremonial and public events.
🌏The six-story building enables the Australian government to advance its political, security, defense, development, trade, investment, and business relationships with the United States.
🌿The facility is designed to achieve the highest global environmental design certifications available, with features including a thermally efficient façade, a green roof with an extensive photovoltaic array, the expansive use of natural light, and the latest building services technologies.
🏗️Clark led the construction efforts on the project. Australian architectural studio Bates Smart was the designer, with the DC-based architectural firm KCCT serving as the Architect of Record.

- This milestone marks the completion of structural concrete on Building B, the first of the three residential mixed-use towers on the project.
- With this milestone complete, the team will finish concrete operations on Building A and Building C and then shift its focus to completing the building envelope and interior work.
- Phase One of The Stacks will include more than 1,100 rental apartment units, 35,000 square feet of retail, 300,000 square feet of below-grade parking and loading, and a 15,000-square-foot public park.
