#CleanSeaNet supports a wide range of different authorities all across the EU, including in 🇭🇷:
Is there any control system? @EMSA_LISBON operates #CleanSeaNet which uses satellite imagery to detect potential spills and identify ships in the area, alerting authorities in the relevant states. They are then required to verify the nature of the spill quickly at sea.
Despite the EU taxpayer money invested into #CleanSeaNet their reports have not been made public. So we cooperated with @SkyTruth to track oil spills in the world’s oceans by combining satellite imagery with machine learning

Oil spills are a major source of #MarinePollution targeted during Operation #30DaysatSea. Thanks to the @EMSA_LISBON satellite service #CleanSeaNet, Bulgaria detected 3 oil spills during Operation #30DaysatSea (March) and cooperated with Romania to investigate their source.
