The Economic Freedom Fighters has condemned several provincial departments of education for failing to spend millions in #conditionalgrants meant to feed children, build classrooms, and support South Africa’s struggling education system.
The Department of Basic Education’s 2024/25 Annual Report shows that seven provinces, including Limpopo,Mpumalanga and Gauteng did not fully use funds allocated for the National School Nutrition Programme, Maths, Science and Technology, and Early Childhood Development infrastructure.
Limpopo tops the list, with R69.7 million left unspent, including R33.2 million for the school nutrition programme. RM
