@KSPrior @ConfessngChurch It was the movement around bonhoeffer in going against the syncretistic religion of the day. Kind of like a call to be the remnant and oppose certain idolatries/sins of the current church. I had 5 or 6 named - individualism and white supremacy were 2 #ConfessingChurch

Satan (accusation) can't cast out satan (accusation), but the argument I'd like to see lifted up is that those who think they can exalt 45 & Jesus are no longer confessing.
I've just had the same chat with my Mum. Noted how difficult was for the #ConfessingChurch to agree what to make stand on - and massive struggle to maintain the Barmen line. In retrospect they were curiously inactive over the murder of ppl w/ mental illness and Kristallnacht
Me too, I keep rereading Bonhoeffer and can't help but draw parallels, the way the poor and disabled are being demonised, disability hate crime has gone up exponentially
