Also notable here is that the letter two weeks ago on the #CostaAmendment was addressed to @MichelBarnier, who has no mandate to agree ring-fencing of #citizensrights. While this letter seeking extension is addressed to the correct body, the @EUCouncil, who do have a mandate.

Finally, Theresa May has written to @eucopresident to request an extension. Listing all the Parliament motions that got us to this point. But not one mention of the #CostaAmendment which instructed her to seek ring-fencing of #citizensrights in case of no-deal Brexit.
