Huge thank you to @zandrayeaman who gave the Corra team a behind the scenes tour of the @hunterian #CuratingDiscomfort intervention, as well as sharing wider context on anti-racism work in Scotland. It’s given us food for thought on our own racial equity journey at Corra.
Check out this EXCELLENT vid with our amazing colleagues @zandrayeaman & @hunteriandir Steph on their work @hunterian on #curatingdiscomfort in discussion with @BestInHeritage - 'the core of this work is people not objects' - there's 'no tick boxing'. @UofGlasgow #racism #equity
Museums feel voyeuristic to many - they tell the stories of different peoples without having those voices within them. A very important point by @zandrayeaman when talking about the #curatingdiscomfort project #amaga2023
Great to see the hard work being done by @zandrayeaman embedding an activist approach within @hunterian to ensure anti-racist practice. Thanks to @UK_ICOM for addressing the legacies of colonialism in Museums. #CuratingDiscomfort

In tough times we turn to culture to plot new and unthought essential routes. In 2023, our cultural landscape is in good hands, and these are the Changemakers who make it happen.
