#OTD in 2019, #CycloneAmbali reached its peak intensity of 160mph/918hPa. Ambali was one of the fastest-intensifying tropical cyclones ever recorded at around 115mph over 24 hours. This was short-lived as the storm then quickly disintegrated and dissipated 2 days later.

Perhaps this caught me really surprised. 🔥🔥 Last time I checked the tropics, #CycloneAmbali was just a puny weak cyclone. But today, it looked extremely magnificent and this is the most beautiful rapid intensification I have seen in SHEM. #Ambali #cyclone
