Dear Chennai people, voters – A clarion call to you! There is no doubt that the Chennai flood was a heart-wrenching calamity leaving everyone reeling. What could have been otherwise meticulous management of the floods ended up being disastrous due to the sheer mismanagement of the DMK government. As CM Mr.Stalin has announced a 6000 Rupees to ‘affected’ families, I urge you to ask yourselves the following questions. How are the ‘affected’ families determined. Just like the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, would preference be given to those close to DMK?. Why were relief materials given to those based on preferential tokens? What happened to the 4000 crores that was allotted for rain and flood management. Isn’t it part of the taxes you paid? What about the people who don’t receive the 6000 rupees, why should tax payers’ money be wasted because of the poor handling of the floods, relief and rehabilitation work? Where were the sitting MPs during the floods? Aren’t they your representatives from different constituencies in Chennai? Is all the agony and ordeal you went through worth just 6000 rupees. Is your life worth just 6000 rupees? Why did the CM tweet just a month ago that “Gone are times of worrying about rains in Chennai. DMK The reason for that is the work done after taking over the government”? If CM was so confident, why did the government fail miserably? Isn’t this betrayal of trust you had on this government? Finally, are you going to vote again for this corrupt, inefficient, innocuous, incapable, demented, clueless, uncharismatic, uncharitable and undemocratic govt again in 2024? Chennai people, please ponder over it. Your votes are invaluable. Look around and see who has genuine concern for you and who works tirelessly and selflessly for you.
