#daytradingjourney It's been very difficult to short a trending market. may have to adjust my strategy. I was flat on Friday. Lost money today. Tried buying $SPY puts near the high of the day but we closed higher. The signals were right but the #stockmarket strength was too much into the end of the day. $IWM #stocks #SPX #stockmarket #investing #trading $ES $QQQ $SPY $TNX $RSP

Here is a gift for all of you short term traders out there... TD REI flashing a buy signal today for the #SPX. What does DeMark's signals know about the CPI? I guess we will find out. Denoted by the green arrow and has a very good track record of calling short term swings. #daytradingjourney Today was like watching paint dry. The system I am testing only gave me one real entry. #DeMark 9 buy near the 23.6% Fib with a 3 count on d-wave, although it ended up extending that count with this afternoon's weakness. The $VIX one minute offered a combo 13 sell at the same time as it was reaching its D-wave 3 target. I added contracts but got too cute with my entry and only got half what I was looking for. I sold before early because the Mag 7 were mostly all below their 10-minute trend and some were starting to hit resistance. That was a bit too early and left 5% on the table. My inclination was correct because the market puked into the close. Hit the lower end of my bogey so I'll take the small victory. #Daytradingjourney - so far so good. Took some SPY options on the last dip dip and just flipped out for +30%. I could have gotten another 5% but oh well. still learning. my set up was #DeMark 9 buy on the 10 mins at Fib support for the $SPY and $QQQ, coupled with 1 min $VIX seq 13 sell. I also added D-wave to help and it did get me to bottom tick the SPY. Mag 7 stocks also strong and tested trend support on the dip. I hit my daily bogey and walking away. 1-2 trades a day is what I am aiming for. The plan is if I get adept at this I will share here for a bit and then launch a discord for idea members to trade with me.
