The Minister repeatedly dodges direct Qs, making false claims about harm-reduction and causes of the addiction crisis, while casually (inadvertently?) admitting that his govt hasn't bothered to collect data or track key metrics over the five years of supposed success. #ableg
There were 40 pharmaceutical opioid deaths between Jan-Nov 2023. That only makes up 2% of the 1,706 opioid-related deaths in that same time period. You cannot exclude 98% of opioid-related deaths when talking about overdose trends in the province.
The recommendations from the Manning Report were predetermined and is simply another example of the @Alberta_UCP engaging in #DecisionBasedEvidenceMaking to promote ideology over actual evidence.
The Commonwealth Games went from $2 billion to $6 billion. The North East Link went from $7 billion to $18 billion. One was cancelled, the other is still proceeding with a full budget commitment. Guess which. #DecisionBasedEvidenceMaking

What a farce this panel is. Alberta clearly has no desire to learn from covid to improve its public health system. Instead it has found a group of people to pat them on the back for successfully balancing "lives and livelihoods".
