When opening and closing price both have to be decided seperately then what is the purpose of running markets all day ? Because if prices go up - CAS decides closing price , If prices go down then also CAS decides closing price .

What's the Purpose for market being live from 9:15 to 3:15pm ?
Just open 15 minute window at opening & closing and just get the price discovered .
