I don't believe any company should blindly accept offers from #Xbox and #PlayStation subscription services. That would be a terrible way to handle the business, and could drive prices down given enough time. Ok, with that out of the way... #DigitalDevolver seems to be playing both a short AND long gamble with potential subscription revenues. They announced they refused subscription deals for titles in both 2023 AND 2024. Obviously the "gamble" on future 2024 titles is that they won't need the subscription revenue (because they will sell well enough on their own). What about short term though?? Why not take the revenue on released products, or soon released products, while evaluating 2024 titles? The current games economy is not super friendly to mid-tier and indie titles right now. Look at what happened to MiMiMi, for example. Look at other studios that have shut down or cancelled projects. I'm not sure ignoring subscription revenue in the short term is a good idea, UNLESS the offer from MSFT or Sony was grossly too low. https://t.co/oyLSQ9eqna
