🇯🇵We Japanese grew up learning through anime that robots and AI are our friends. Doraemon, Astro Boy, even Tachikoma… For us, AI and robots 🤖 are not “threats,” but companions. But when you look around the world, it’s different. In many countries, AI is portrayed as something fearful. Like the Terminator, chasing humans down. In movies, anime, and games, AI often shows up as the “enemy.” 🇯🇵🌍 Here lies the decisive difference between Japan and the rest of the world. On top of that, Japan introduced nationwide tablet education from elementary school. “One device per child” became the standard — something rare in the world. (Of course, for parents it was a painful expense… the iPad with insurance was nearly $1,000 😅) So Japanese kids are growing up more familiar with digital than paper, and naturally accepting AI and robots as their “friends.” When this generation becomes adults, the foundation of society itself will change. It’s true that AI and robots will take jobs away — that’s inevitable. But Japanese children will embrace the technology as allies, and they’ll blow away the labor shortage. They will build a wonderful society of coexistence. I truly believe that. Much better than relying on mass immigration.
