My fellowship program was extremely supportive of everything and my APD even came to visit me while I was recovering. I went on to finish residency, start fellowship, and finish fellowship. And now I’m an attending.

Shout out to the 64% (120) #TransplantRecipients participating in the study who self identified as healthcare workers! (I know several #DocsWithTransplants counted in that sample! 😉)
We need more evidence about safety and efficacy in transplant patients that the study will provide, but after reviewing data and talking with my team, other #DocsWithTransplants, immunologists, and infectious disease experts, the benefits outweigh the theoretical risks for me!
