Good #dotAI #domannames, OK. But great #domains migrate to .com, if not already there. Trust & credibility at no extra charge.

This claim from @Escrow_com is quite something: “For the first time ever, a good .ai domain costs more than a good .com one.” That’s not just hype. It’s highly misleading. There are presumably far more genuinely great exact-word .ai domains available for sale than equivalent .com domains. Most of the best .com inventory has been owned for decades and rarely changes hands. And what exactly is a “good” domain? If you want to claim that .ai domains now cost more than .com domains, the meaningful comparison would be the same SLD across both extensions: Word .ai vs. Word .com. Take a meaningful sample of identical words, compare actual transaction prices, and then show us that the .ai versions consistently sell for more than their .com counterparts. That would be interesting data. But comparing an undefined bucket of “good .ai domains” with an undefined bucket of “good .com domains” and concluding that good .ai domains now cost more? That’s a stretch. .ai is booming. The sales numbers are impressive enough on their own. There’s really no need to manufacture a narrative around them.

Learning a lot about a very niche, "infant" technology. A lot of analogies to the "light regulatory approach" to #DomanNames in the 90s. But, it seems there are few business cases for "Web3 identifiers" (aside from copyright and trademark infringement or vanity names). #DecentralizedWeb #EmergingTech

I want to end the year by thanking all the domain investors who have publicly shared their knowledge over the years and have answered my off the chart dumb ass questions. I will thank them individually and mention how they have impacted my life. #domains #domannames

@DomainKing That's exactly what I advocate. Once you have found a source of knowledge, you should use it and definitely not contaminate it. #DomanNames

Quotes that could have been coined for domaines: " "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill Keep that in mind in the good sales months and the bad. #domaing #domannames
