#UNDRIP and #DRIPA in BC has created a sense of indigenous entitlement that is OFF THE CHARTS !!!!
As long as we use false labels like
A) first "nations" when in fact it is indigenous tribes with often only a few dozen people, often now mixed race, or
B) "stewards of the land" when in fact they did nothing or nothing much as of course 1000 people in 1,000,000 sq km will do less impact than 3,000,000 like in Lower Mainland.
C) "consultation" vs the real name ie extortion, or
D) "reconcilliation" vs the real name ie grifting and land grab
E) "aboriginal title" over vast areas when in fact ownership never existed, the land was poorly or not at all defeded AND the land was sparingly used .. all of a sudden you own the river because you fished there a few times a year ??
NOTHING WILL CHANGE AND IT WILL GET WORSE. FAR FAR WORSE.
We need to end the Indian Act AND the pretense that race gives you privileges. IT IS RACIST. IT HAS TO END.

The main issue in BC is NOT private property title or alleged racism !!!
The main issue is ENDLESS CASH PAYMENTS and DECISION MEDDLING dressed up as "consultation" or "reconciliation" by small indigenous tribes masquerading as "nations" - or worse "sovereign nations" - ie the UTTER UNCERTAINTY who makes decision, how much it is delayed and how much it costs !
➡️ Plus: the endless lies and utterly one sided discussion about colonization, indigenous "graves" or residential schools (even the pope was fooled) !
➡️ Plus: no one knows when we are finally "reconciled" !! When all the land is indigenous controlled ? When BC is 143 "nations" ? When every decision is rehashed 15 times before a $ gets invested ? When even speed limit changes now need "consultation" ?
THAT IS THE MAIN ISSUE !!
THE UNCERTAINTY WITHOUT END !!!
Until this is fixed INVESTORS STAY AWAY and BC's economy implodes !!!

Forge Media also approached me about doing an interview. They said they were subcontracted by the CBC. We smelled a rat right away. So we asked some follow-up questions about what other documentaries they had done and when they failed to answer sufficiently we refused the interview.
I worked at CBC Toronto in 1998-99 at The Fifth Estate and Marketplace and I knew from my experience that this was not the normal procedure for arranging interview subjects. And now we know that the CBC was in fact behind all of this!
