The absurdity of the situation is clear: 🔹 Arbitrary Refusals: National authorities denied state refugee status and residence permits without clear or legally justified grounds, exhausting judicial options up to the Supreme Court. 🔹 UNHCR Mandate Recognition: Following a thorough, independent review of our cases, UNHCR concluded that national denials were completely ungrounded and officially placed us under international mandate protection. 🔹 Systemic Non-Recognition & Deadlock: Despite this official recognition, host state institutions refuse to acknowledge UNHCR mandate status, leaving families without basic rights, work permits, or legal security. 🔹 Caught in the Middle: We are trapped between unjustified state-level refusals and international agencies that offer monitoring instead of active resettlement.
