Gaza’s markets are full of chips, chocolate, biscuits and soft drinks. Meat, eggs, dairy and fresh vegetables are almost nowhere to be found. That isn’t an accident, Palestinians say. It’s how the Israeli occupation is engineering famine a year into the ceasefire. Every truck that enters Gaza passes through crossings the occupation controls, and it decides what goes on them. Gaza’s Government Media Office says around 350 essential items are still banned, while snacks, sugary drinks and high-calorie dry goods are waved through. The Gaza Chamber of Commerce estimates that 95 percent of the goods allowed in are consumer products. Nutritionists warn that chips, instant noodles and soda can dull hunger for a few hours but cannot replace real food, and they are dangerous for young children, pregnant women and the chronically ill, who need protein and vitamins to survive. One Palestinian economist calls it a policy of keeping Gaza’s head just above water: hungry enough to break, fed enough to avoid mass death on camera. Under the ceasefire, Israel promised 600 trucks a day. The real average is around 200, and this week an Israeli official claimed 250 were enough. Now the World Food Programme has cut food aid for half a million people for lack of funding, just as winter arrives, leaving 1.4 million Palestinians, two-thirds of Gaza, facing crisis levels of hunger with shelves stocked with snacks they cannot live on. #EngineeringFamine

Humanitarian aid from Egypt via Kerem Shalom continued, though at reduced levels . COGAT announced resumption of gradual coordination on Oct 19 -The UN World Food Programme cut rations by half starting this month due to funding shortfalls, reducing monthly beneficiaries from 1.6 million to 1.1 million. Hot meals dropped from 250,000 to 150,000 per day -Approximately 1.4 million people (67% of Gaza's population) are in IPC Phase 3 or above (acute food insecurity). وجب التنويه للجميع وأرجو مشاركة المعلومات أدناه... يدخل من مصر إلى قطاع غزة حاليا مواد غذائية تُقدَّر بأنها تكفي القطاع بنسبة 10% من احتياج المواطنين. هذه المواد تدخل على اساس انها مساعدات لصالح مؤسسات دولية مثل منظمة الفاو، والغذاء العالمي wfp، واوكسفام واللجنة المصرية لإعمار غزة واللجنة القطرية لإعمار غزة وغيرهم.. ما يتم ادخاله يندرج تحت بند مساعدات اغاثية على شكل طرود غذائية، وخيام وشوادر، فحم للتدفئة، اعلاف للدواجن والحيوانات وبقوليات بشكل طفيف.. منذ اسبوع منعت اسرائيل ادخال أي صنف غذائي للقطاع، وتركت المجال بشكل بسيط جداً أمام الشاحنات الآتية من مصر عبر معبر كرم ابو سالم "المنفذ الوحيد"، وبذلك تظهر امام العالم انها تسمح بإدخال الطعام لغزة، لكنها في الحقيقة تهندس المجاعة بما يخدم صورتها اعلامياً، وعلى الأرض فعلياً لا يوجد ما يكفي من طعام ومؤونة وخضار ولحوم وبقوليات ومعلبات غذائية مصنعة‼️ الذي يحدث سيؤدي بعد شهر من الآن إلى انتهاء كافة الموجود من المواد الغذائية والمؤونة وعلى رأسه الدقيق "الطحين"، وبالتالي المتوفر في الثطاع سيكون ما يكفي ل10% فقط من حاجة المواطنين‼️ تذكروا هذا المعلومات جيداً، فهي دقيقة ومصدرها من عاملين في القطاع التجاري والإغاثي. السبب لما يحدث هو إحدى الخيارات التالية: - إما أن اسرائيل تريد احداث مجاعة في القطاع بهدف تحقيق مكاسب سياسية تؤدي للاستسلام التام ورضوخ الفصائل الفلسطينية لطلب اسرائيل بتسليم الس،،لاح والأفراد المطلوبين. - أو أن اسرائيل تتجه لنزع مسؤوليتها عن ادخال الطعام والبضائع التجارية لغزة، وتنزع عن نفسها مسؤولية ذلك بصفتها سلطة احتلال، وبموجب ذلك يفرص عليها القانون الدولي مسؤولية اطعام الناس وتولي حياتهم وشؤونهم الانسانية والخدماتية، وهنا تلقي بمسؤوليتها على مصر لتتولى ادخال البضائع والمساعدات التي تقدمها المنظمات الدولية. - أو أن اسرائيل تتحضر لحرب طويلة في الإقليم مع ايران او دول أخرى أيضاً، وهو ما سيؤدي لقطع سلاسل توريد الغذاء ويعطل القطاع الزراعي والحيواني والتجاري في الكيان، وهنا ستعتمد اسرائيل على ما لديها من مخزون غذائي، وستمنع تصدير أي شيء لقطاع غزة او الضفة الغربية "سوءا شاحنات تجارية او شاحنات إغاثية تابعة لمؤسسات دولية".

Israeli Correspondent Attacks the Entry of Aid into Gaza During her coverage from the Kerem Shalom crossing, Milan Omer, a correspondent for Israel’s Channel 14, said that trucks loaded with aid and various supplies were preparing to enter the Gaza Strip, claiming that they would reach the hands of Hamas. She noted that activists from the “Order 9” movement were blocking the road in an attempt to prevent the trucks from entering, adding that the blockade was temporary and that the trucks would soon continue on their way into the Strip. She also claimed that the trucks were carrying dual-use materials, along with other supplies. مراسلة إسرائيلية تهاجم إدخال المساعدات إلى قطاع غزة قالت ميلان عومر، مراسلة القناة 14 الإسرائيلية، خلال تغطيتها من معبر كرم أبو سالم، إن شاحنات محمّلة بالمساعدات والإمدادات المختلفة تستعد للدخول إلى قطاع غزة، زاعمةً أنها ستصل إلى أيدي حركة حماس. وأشارت إلى أن نشطاء حركة «الأمر 9» يغلقون الطريق أمام الشاحنات في محاولة لمنع دخولها، موضحةً أن الإغلاق مؤقت، وأن الشاحنات ستواصل طريقها إلى قطاع غزة قريبًا. كما زعمت أن الشاحنات تحمل مواد مزدوجة الاستخدام، إلى جانب إمدادات أخرى.
