We close 2021 with a somber reminder: a rising tide does not lift all boats. In Dec, overall unemployment fell but Black women’s unemployment jumped from 4.9% to 6.2%.

New #JobsReport numbers are in: In September the economy added 194,000 jobs. While men gained 220,000 jobs last month, 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀.
That brings us to nearly 2.9 million jobs lost for women since the beginning of the pandemic.
