It is important for people to realize that if Moscow, ID is not a seedbed of heresy, then there are NAPARC pastors that wasted a lot of time pushing reports against the Federal Vision. There are many words that will have to be retracted if it is just a faithful community.
All that to say, this has been going on for two decades. None of it is new. It's just had time to grow & evolve. Meanwhile many of the young families I knew that adopted it have been smashed against the rocks. Those who survived did so by moving toward classic reformed theology.

@thomas_roysdad @douglaswils Thanks. Good question. I would argue that James is arguing that faith will result in works, yet those works do not justify a man before God. Christian works are never meritorious.

Doug Wilson (who wrote the Joint Federal Vision Profession in 2007 which fleshes out Federal Vision) holds to a Final Justification/Final Salvation. It’s in the JFVP. This is anathema.
