Saw patient today. In to have an NG placed (to build up for surgery). FY1 mistakenly using a ryles tube, not tolerated. Patient didn’t think he’d manage another attempt, saying he’d ‘failed’. I advised, Ryles tube not indicated. 8fr Tube placed by me. Feed started. #extendedrole
