@YahooSports @ItsMeghanLHall This better be wrong!!!!! She’s the one that needs to leave the most!!!! Best situation would be to talk a former Pacers coach into coming in for 2-3 years to coach the GOAT…. And the former Pacers coach I’m referring to is Larry Bird!!! @IndianaFever @Pacers #FireStephWhite
This coach did everything possible to change the system that made Caitlin Clark, Caitlin Clark - that drew millions to women’s basketball.
Said things like, “make the simple play, not the home run play”. There is a special place in basketball hell for @StephanieWhite

@YahooSports @ItsMeghanLHall @IndianaFever YOU ARE NOT A SERIOUS ORGANIZATION. YOU CAN FIRE THE PRESIDENT AND THE GM. UNTIL THE COACH, RUNNING THE GAME IS GONE. IT IS FOR NOT. DO THE RIGHT THING AND #FIRESTEPHWHITE
@WNBA_Analyst @StephanieWhite Spend less time scissoring and more time learning ball #firestephwhite
Coach is right!
But wait for it, the @IndianaFever FOFC & SWFC will be out soon telling you, "I told you so", as if they predicted it. I've already read one of them acting like it! 🤨🤦♂️

The fans told yall who to sign and who not to sign. We were right! We told Stephenie the type of offense we should run. We were right !!! Slurp FC, please leave with them!!! 😭😭😭
I sign off on this wholeheartedly 🫡 #FireStephWhite
Here are 17 reasons why Stephanie White should be fired as head coach for the Indiana Fever.
REASON 1:
White based her offense on what she did at the Connecticut Sun (using a big as the hub) rather than crafting a NEW offense that would take advantage of her 2026 Fever team's unique strengths.
* Alyssa Thomas said the Mercury knew exactly what Fever was going to do because it was the same offense they'd used when White was at the Sun.
* White was trying to turn Aliyah Boston into Alyssa Thomas instead of capitalizing on Aliyah's unique strengths.
REASON 2:
The pass-pass-pass half court offense.
* Every pass is an opportunity for defenders to get deflections and steals.
* Not every player is equally gifted at reading who's open AND getting the ball to them.
* Some players got so caught up in figuring out whom to pass to that they forgot to shoot. In the meantime, the shot clock was running down, and either they'd end up with a shot clock turnover or else the poor person stuck with the ball would have to heave up a shot whether they had a good look or not, leading to missed shots.
REASON 3:
Fever's defensive rating was 12th out of 15.
* For someone claiming to be a "defensive minded coach", White should be ashamed.
* White's iso switch-everything defense was responsible for the losses in the games against the Valks and the Fire.
* Fever was terrible at rebounding 3 point shot attempts. They'd stand around and watch instead of getting into position to grab the ball.
REASON 4:
White frequently went away from what was working, destroying leads and losing games.
* This applied both to rotations and to schemes.
* Fever often would generate a great lead in the first quarter. Then White would switch things up for the second quarter and lose the lead. And so on.
* In the playoffs, Game 2 was great, and then for Game 3 White took away everything that was working and got a loss.
* Her excuse when she did this was that she feared the other team would make adjustments to counter it. She should have kept doing it until the other team proved they could stop it.
REASON 5:
White took away the pick & roll, claiming that other teams were expecting it and would counter it.
* Even if other teams expect it, that doesn't mean their attempt to defend against it will work.
* White should have tried it in every game, and then switch away if she faced a matchup that had a good answer for it.
* It didn't need to be the ONLY play in the playbook, but it should have been used liberally in matchups that couldn't counter it.
REASON 6:
Every game felt like 5 individuals were running around in isolation. Not coherent, not a team.
REASON 7:
Aliyah Boston is one of the best centers in the league, but White's offense took her away from the basket.
* Aliyah was playing most of the offense either at the top of the key doing the hub thing, or out at the 3-point line.
* Result was that the Fever was getting out-rebounded on the offensive end of the floor.
* Aliyah had a career low in offensive rebounds, but a career high in defensive rebounds. Obviously, she could still rebound, but she was out of position for grabbing offensive ones.
* This cost Fever (and Aliyah's personal stats) the opportunity to get second chance points.
REASON 8:
Steph White needed to demonstrate more outrage when calls by the refs were egregiously bad. Both in the heat of the moment and also at post game press conferences.
* We saw Tyler Marsh, Sydney Johnson, Cheryl Reeve, and Becky Hammon all stand up for their players.
* In many games there were hard fouls on Fever players that didn't get called. White should have confronted the refs, held them accountable. Even if it meant getting a tech.
* White simply stood on the sidelines scowling with her arms folded.
* When reporters asked about the opponents' hard fouls on Fever in post game pressers, White praised the opponents' competitiveness instead of showing support for her player.

I think we need to start the FIRE STEPHANIE WHITE chants back up now.
We need to show that she needs to go and not have another season where she micromanages Caitlin Clark & wrecks her career.
Get it trending again.

Here are SOME of the reasons Fever should get rid of Stephanie White and her assistant coaches:
Fever set records for highest offensive rating and highest points per game in WNBA history, plus 2 of its guards set multiple individual records, and STILL made it only to 6th seed. That's an abomination.
White claimed to be a defense minded coach, but Fever's defense was ranked 12th out of 15. White and Bri January (the defense assistant coach) should be ashamed.
White spends too much energy worrying about what mean people say about her on the Internet, and in fact needs to use a therapist to help her process it. That is NOT a dawg mentality. In a pregame press conference, when White should have been locked in on the game they were about to play, she instead whined about Internet criticism of her and told fans to go to hell. If she's too soft to deal with Internet criticism, then she certainly can't guide her players in how to shut out the outside noise.
Players have been injured in practice. What in the heck do they DO in those practices? In 2025 Caitlin and Sophie both were injured in training camp. Later in the 2025 season, Chloe Bibby experienced a season ending injury in practice, plus Caitlin experienced a NEW season ending injury (ankle) in practice when she was trying to return to the court. In 2026, Caitlin and Lexie both were injured in training camp, and later on Dantas experienced a season ending injury in practice.
White's hub offense took the ball out of the hands of the generational point guard on the team. It also destroyed Aliyah Boston's effectiveness as a center because it took her away from the basket. Aliyah had the lowest offensive rebounds per game of her career in this season because she was playing on the perimeter. The hub nonsense also adversely impacted Aliyah's points per game because she wasn't getting the rebounds to put up second chance points. Aliyah is one of the best centers in the league, but White's use of the hub offense neutered everything that Aliyah excels at on the offensive end of the floor.
White sacrificed some wins in the first half of the season in order to experiment with weird rotations and bizarre offensive/defensive schemes. This lost the home court advantage for Fever in the playoffs. It also harmed Caitlin's & Kelsey's candidacy for post season awards. Those voters who revealed their votes cited the Fever's 6th seed performance as a key reason for snubbing them in MVP votes despite the many records the two broke.
White regularly would stop using effective schemes because she was afraid opponents would adjust. She came out and said this is why she destroyed the Caitlin+Aliyah pick & roll. She should have kept using the schemes until the opponents actually did finally figure out how to defend against them. We saw this in the playoffs - Fever used highly effective offensive & defensive schemes in Game 2 (which they won) and then abandoned them in Game 3 (which they lost).
Stephanie White and her assistant coaches need to go.
#FireStephWhite for all who celebrate 😊
@TED112268 @IndianaFever @Pacers @CaitlinClark22 Yes, it does & Clark needs to flex her muscles now.
Say, "It is White or me to the Fever front office."
Choose now!!
Fire Stephanie White now!!

Lexie gets planted thru the floor, caitlin had a month full of blood, Kelsey gets put in an arm bare and called for a foul, at what point does leather jacket stand up for her players and get a tech from these shitty refs??
#FireStephWhite
@CrashDavis8 #firestephwhite. Front office should have benched white mid-season…put a fork in her, she’s done!
#vandyknew #whiteisabully
@CrashDavis8 She would not even be hired to coach high school — she’s awful - terrible offensive schemes and no d whatsoever - 👀where they are ranked!
