THA for #FNFx has a higher DL rate than hemi, esp. posterior, but If done well should not fail by wearing out.

I believe the #DAA has a major role in hip fracture #FNFx patients, as this vulnerable population has the greatest short term risk profile after surgery and needs improved early recovery immediately post op, even moreso than elective THA.
@ClaudioDiazMD Just need sufficient femoral exposure. Can achieve readily with small postero lateral release over the corner of posterior GT, femoral elevation, and extension via bed hinge. Here is a recent Summit Cemented stem I did for a small elderly lady with a #FNFx:
