@rl_dunn @foundationyear1 @SussexUni Following Jame's interesting talk. It was also nice to be able to award him with our first successful CAB application. #FYNAC19
Took 5 hours to get home, but totally worth it. Loved hearing about everyone’s fascinating practise and hope my talk cemented how amazing Foundation Year students are (not that you lot need reminding). See you next year #FYNAC19 @foundationyear1
I’ve learnt a lot today about how student learning is perceived and valued differently across the sector. I was genuinely surprised that there was praise and support for a student deficit model in some disciplines. Good to be challenged, but I remain a firm critic! #FYNAC19
Had a fantastic time at #FYNAC19. Lots of good discussions, sharing of good practice and hope for the future. It has been said before, but it is ‘the friendliest conference’. Looking forward to following up on ideas and completing collaborative scholarship. @foundationyear1
Thanks @C_Priede and great to hear that some other #FYNAC19 attendees were interested in adopting the approach too. @Nathaniel__P @DteMarie and myself will be writing up our insights this summer. In the meantime, more info is here https://t.co/ZdD7Kcr89D
Great conversations today about digital storytelling - and a fab presentation from @lizaustenbooth and colleagues #FYNAC19. Here's a link to some resources from a @YorkshireUnis project Liz and I worked on a few years ago. https://t.co/X2mSjLpyGu

Foundation Year work is ridiculously busy work, so #FYNAC19 is one of the few times you get to find out what colleagues are up to - sometimes even including those in your own institution. Great to hear Peta talking about @sheffielduni science foundation years.
