waters of wonderment,
fortuitously faded away,
it's aftertaste, rich air of the sea,
reminder of return,
watching, wanting, weary is the wait,
well worth it if paradise found.

written in sand, grainy and bold,
wishes coming true, bringing to life
a shipwrecked heart, a land-docked soul
longing again for ocean's freedom,
waves rolling, taking us out,
then tugging back in, no,

stolen moments, sapphire & silver,
plundered treasure,
the chest keeping it all safe,
hidden again from sight,
within us, that faintly warm light,
lasting, lasting, til we feel no more.

standing with deep breaths,
they were ours, souls voraciously seeking,
enjoying whispered ecstasies under the stars,
crossing from daylit anticipations into
nighttime's courage, hearts joined as one.

feeling the quiet rush, they billow, bulging,
from a deep, far horizon, trembling,
tremors rolling in, frenzied waves
eating a mutual convocant and eulogy,
a gasping sigh, gasp, and all as one,
lapping up its congregant hungrily.

Falling in melancholic loneliness

In memories
I still feel embraces,

My parents are gone

We swim in the tranquil lake
Aware only of our hungry hearts
And the inexorable attraction
Which pulls us together
In passionate imitation
Of romantic movie climaxes
Amongst the frenzied waves
Of our own making.
This may not be Love,

It was all a dream-
The edenic garden
Abloom with fragrance
As the gentle sun
Caressed silken petals
Awake with a loving touch.
Her sigh was a serpent's hiss
Promising only Paradise lost.
But I needed the sting
Of her venomous lies
In order to know true Love.

Of a shipwrecked heart
He wrote his sorrows

But all is dust
With Love written in sand
