Just remember. #FlareStake is crucial for the security of #FlareNetwork. If everyone is thinking like this, FlareNetwork wouldnt be a safe place to lock in
billions of funds. Hence FlareStake provides higher yield to incentivize the community to secure the network. ๐
This is why I delegate my $FLR over staking it.
Yes, staking in general moves the funds out of your control, so you have to trust the protocol. That's one reason why it's called staking IMO. You have security stake and financial stake in terms of loss from e.g. impermanent loss or Slashing.
Do keep in mind that #FlareStake is very secure and there is no risk of loss due to Slashing.

@Kiln_finance offers a very low 2% fee, but is oversubscribed despite their 15m stake being worth 225m (under the cap of 332m).
But it says validators must have a DIFFERENT self-stake amounts.

Important update on FLR
Effective Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at 19:00 UTC, $FLR inflation is transitioning from 7% (current) to 5% (new) to achieve a more sustainable level, as outlined in Flare's tokenomics and approved by the community (FIP.01).
This change reduces the number of new FLR tokens minted annually, creating a scarcer long-term supply. While delegation and staking rewards will adjust to reflect the lower inflation rate, FlareDrops are unaffected.
