You gain XP the more grants you win, until, eventually, when you reach Grand Biologist level 11 status and are asked to write papers you disagree with for more Dust Dollars. Here is where the moral dilemma comes in, much like in Red Dead Redemption. You can take the good path, but the dark path is potentially more dangerous and exciting.
