Today, I asked the Leader of the House for a debate to seek justice for the @ExcludedUK
Today marks the anniversary of a very important meeting in the ExcludedUK campaign...
This time last year ExcludedUK members Stephen Davies, Ken Law and Head of Member Welfare, Jennifer Griffiths, met with a new Labour candidate, who was hoping to take the seat in the constituency of Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr.
His name is Steve Witherden, and he was horrified to hear about all the stories we told him about the devastation and trauma we had gone through. He did know a little about what it meant to be excluded as he was a teacher and had been championing for the supply teachers and examiners in his area who had been impacted.
During that meeting he made a commitment that, if we was successful in gaining his seat, he would set up a new APPG for us.
True to his word, when he won his seat, he worked with us to set up and Chair our new 'Gaps in Covid-19 Financial Support' APPG.
So today, we thank Steve Witherden MP @switherdenMP for fulfilling his promise to us, but also thank Stephen Davies and Ken Law for contacting him to start the ball rolling to organise the meeting with him.
We wish all MPs did what they promised, and encourage all Lords and MPs to join our 'Gaps in Covid-19 Financial Support' APPG.
All officer positions have been taken, so you are invited to be an ordinary member. If you are unable to attend the meetings in person, for whatever reason, this is not an issue as we will email all progress directly to you after each meeting.

* Directors Paid in Dividends

* Self-employed with +£50k trading profits
* Businesses ineligible for Business Grants
* Those on maternity/parental/adoption leave
* Those earning less than 50% income from self-employment
* Those whose personal circumstances have affected entitlement to support e.g. pensions, bereavement allowance, carer’s allowance, students, armed forces veterans…and more…
