🌍 On 15 September, TESS was pleased to help open #GenevaTradeWeek 2025 with two timely discussions on the future of trade and sustainability.
The week began with a forward-looking plenary on “Taking the Pulse on the Trade and Sustainability Agenda: Where to Next for International Cooperation?”. Experts and Geneva-based ambassadors to the WTO reflected on pressing trade-related challenges, opportunities for cooperation, and the kinds of progress that can be envisaged for sustainability in today’s complex geopolitical and trade landscape.
In the afternoon, an expert roundtable on opportunities for cooperation on sustainable agriculture and trade explored the agriculture–trade interface. Speakers and delegates addressed food security, harmful subsidies, sustainability standards, and opportunities to foster cooperation with lasting social, environmental, and economic impacts. 🌱
