#GoodInformation క్యాన్సర్ ని ఎదుర్కోవడానికి వ్యక్తిగతంగా అందరూ అలవర్చుకోవాల్సినవి ఐదు విషయాలు: 1. శరీరం చెప్పేది వినాలి. నిత్యం దాన్ని పరిశీలిస్తూ ఉండాలి. ఎక్కడైనా గడ్డలు, వాపు, ఏదైనా నొప్పి, ఇతర లక్షణాలు కొద్దికాలం పాటు కనిపిస్తే తేలిగ్గా తీసుకోకూడదు. వెంటనే వైద్యుల దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి చూపించుకోవాలి. 2. క్యాన్సర్ కు దోహదం చేసే రిస్క్ ఫాక్టర్స్ కొన్ని ఉంటాయి. ఉదాహరణకు పొగాకు, మసాలాలు, మద్యం వంటివి. వాటికి దూరంగా ఉండాలి. సాధారణంగా మన శరీరాల్లో అంతర్గతంగా మంచి కణాలు, మంచి మైక్రోబ్స్ ఉంటాయి. చూసుకోవాలి. మన సంప్రదాయ ఆహారపుటలవాట్లు చాలా మంచివి. ప్రతి వంటలోనూ పసుపు వేస్తాం. పెరుగు తింటే కడుపులో ప్రోబయాటిక్స్ పెరుగుతాయి. ఆ తరహా ఆహారంతో మన రోగనిరోధక శక్తిని నిత్యం పెంచుకోవాలి. దానిని దెబ్బతీసే అలవాట్లను దరి చేరనివ్వకూడదు. 3. కుటుంబంలో పెద్దవారికి ఎవరికైనా క్యాన్సర్ ఉంటే పిల్లలు జాగ్రత్తపడాలి, కనీసం నలభయ్యేళ్లు దాటినవారు ఏడాదికోసారి పరీక్షలు చేయించుకోవాలి. 4. అందుబాటులో ఉన్న వ్యాక్సీన్లను తీసుకోవాలి. ఉదాహరణకు సర్విక్స్ క్యాన్సర్ పట్ల, అవగాహన ఇప్పుడు పెరుగుతోంది. ఇప్పటికీ ఇండియాలో ప్రతిరోజూ 200 మంది మహిళలు గర్భాశయ ముఖద్వార క్యాన్సర్ తో చనిపోతున్నారు. అదే అమెరికాలో చాలా తక్కువ. ఎందుకంటే అక్కడ ప్రతి హాస్పిటల్లో ఏ మహిళ ఏ అనారోగ్యంతో చేరినాసరే, పాప్ స్మియర్ పరీక్ష చెయ్యాలి. వ్యాక్సినేషన్ తప్పనిసరి. ఇదంతా ఇరవైముప్ఫయ్యేళ్లుగా చేస్తున్నారు అక్కడ. ఇక్కడకూడా ఆ తరహా నిబద్ధత ఉంటే తక్కువ సమయంలోనే పోలియోలాగా అధిగమించవచ్చు. 5. చిన్న వయసులో సెక్స్, (వివాహాలు చేసుకోవడం), గర్భాలు, అపరిశు భ్రత వల్ల హెచ్పీవీ వైరస్ సంక్రమించే అవకాశం ఎక్కువ. ఇది దిగువ, మధ్యతరగతి మహిళల్లో ఎక్కువ. వారు అవగాహన పెంచుకోవాలి. హైపటైటిస్ బి వైరస్ ఒంట్లో తిష్ట వేసి 20, 30 ఏళ్ల పాటు దాక్కుని తర్వాత లివర్ క్యాన్సర్ గా బయటపడుతుంది. అందువల్ల జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలి. 6. వైద్యులు కూడా తమ దగ్గరకు వచ్చే రోగుల విషయంలో అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలి. వారు చెప్పేది జాగ్రత్తగా వినాలి, మందులు వాడినా తగ్గకపోతే వెంటనే క్యాన్సర్ దిశగా పరీక్షలు చేయించాలి. తమ పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని ఎప్పటికప్పుడు అప్ డేట్ చేసుకుంటే వ్యక్తిగతంగానూ, వృత్తిపరంగానూ మంచిది. సమాజంలోనూ క్యాన్సర్ వ్యాప్తిని అరికట్టినవారవుతారు. - డాక్టర్ నోరి దత్తాత్రేయుడు
