Not long ago, Greece was a byword for economic crisis. Today it is cutting taxes, bringing debt down, attracting investment and has returned to budget surplus. So I met the Greek PM today to find out how he did it.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis defeated a failing left-wing government because he did the hard work in opposition, built a strong team around him to deliver a proper plan.
Conservatives are learning from centre-right governments that have confronted difficult economic realities and succeeded…because after Labour has finished raising taxes, driving away investment and making Britain poorer, we will need more than a change of government. We will need an economic revolution backed by a plan to Get Britain Working Again.

Ministers are drawing up plans to 'exploit the fiscal rules' to increase government borrowing, reports the Times.
Total UK public sector net debt is nearly £3 trillion & in the last year government's annual borrowing total reached £132 billion.
The UK's annual new borrowing is more than the total education budget, while the annual debt interest cost alone is roughly equal to it. We're paying 4.9% for 10-year loans and 5.5% for 30-year loans.
Yet the jokers in charge of the Government think that the answer is to borrow even more.
What if , people like me ,want you to do less !

The Bank of England just downgraded its Q1 GDP Growth forecast from 1.4% to 0.4%.
It also increased it's unemployment forecast from 4.1% to 4.5%.
This is what happens when Labour makes something it's priority. The opposite happens.

Labour wants the private sector to be its engine of growth.
Labour wants the private sector to invest much more.
Yet The Times reports Labour will jack up private employers’ NICs (public sector employers will be exempt)
And is preparing a raft of new employee rights and regulations.
Baffled as to how you square all this.
Draghi is right on the problem but wrong of the solution, which is more of the same big Government and fiscal deficits .
