Most languages have singular+plural, but I've always found it really nice when a language has a way of expressing 'the two of us' with just one word.
I played around with some #grambank data & it looks like island nation languages are more likely to have a dual form.
#GramBank, a great resource, can be filtered by top families (eg Indo-E or Austron. as a whole). Is there also a way to filter the data by subgroup (eg only Oceanic lgs; only Germanic…)? Perhaps w/ a script using Glottolog? How can it be done?

In 1963, linguist Greenberg published his influential work on language diversity which had a sample of 30 languages. 60 years later, DLCE published #Grambank which contains information on 2,430!
