Congratulations to the entire @gredosom family on the successful Annual Review Conference 2025.
As the #GREDO 2025 Annual Review Meeting concludes, I sincerely appreciate the time, commitment, and collective effort invested in making this conference meaningful and impactful. I regret that I was unable to be with the team in person due to other important commitments.
The year 2025 has been one of the most testing periods for the humanitarian cause. Sudden and severe funding cuts placed immense pressure on our work; forcing many organizations to suspend operations and compelling GREDO to close 23 health and nutrition facilities. Despite these challenges, I am deeply proud of our staff -from frontline teams to senior management- who stood firm and continued serving their communities against all odds.
Many went above and beyond, including working voluntarily, at a time when difficult decisions had to be made. This Annual Review was not only a moment of reflection, but also a call to action to double our efforts, innovate smarter, and adopt efficient, cost-effective approaches to reach the most affected and hardest-to-reach communities.
I extend my sincere appreciation to our communities, government and local authorities, elders, partners, and donors; especially @FCDOGovUK, @eu_echo, and @DKinSomalia for their unwavering support!!๐๐ป๐๐ป
The achievements we reviewed are a testament to collective resilience and solidarity!!!

"We have been adapting our way of working in responding to a major drought. Our thinking was to start from a basic idea assessing the needs and work backwards - why do we need to change to make a difference?"
