How to deal with an irresponsible design:
Before you start the interaction design, you want to fully understand what your prototype's goals and objectives. After you need to consider how would your users use your prototype. #HCDE210
i hope you enjoyed this lil thread for my #hcde210 class and pls do follow these design practices for the future—we’re in this together and can make a change in tech if we have good design strategies 😌☝🏽
the tea is that human-centered design is awesome and super necessary for creating a good design—get a lil crazy and pop off w ur cool ideas but also remember to always put users/their needs first #hcde210
nobody:
me: users are IMPORTANT users MATTER.,...we LOVE users and human-centered design #hcde210
without responsible and capable design practices we get a risky product that will probably leave users disappointed like my best bud frank ocean here.. we don’t want frank to be upset when he looks at OUR app or other design #hcde210
human- all
centered app
designers users
🤝
a clean, easy to use app
w a pretty color scheme

the last step of the design process is producing the final product, but before reaching a final model we might have to go back to other steps and keep revising—but its all good bc our users are gonna Love our design #hcde210
then, when evaluating and revising your design, don’t forget to account for ALL users—we only stan inclusivity in this house and users w unique needs like D.W. (below) should be able to use our product too #hcde210
u should start w a lo-fidelity (v simple) prototype and work ur way up to a hi-fidelity (more complex “realistic”) prototype but both types (& everything that comes in btwn) are equally important #hcde210
next u pick ur most promising idea and start to prototype (my personal fave step so get pumped)
this is when we actually build something tangible #hcde210
after user research, we have to ~ideate~ to generate as many different types of ideas as we can for our product..basically, we need to brainstorm bc rn our plate looks like this and we don’t wanna starve #hcde210
but don’t be biased in your research bc bias is just not chill — if you conduct interviews or surveys don’t ask questions like this poll that clearly influences participants’ answers #hcde210
Q: is xxxtentacion’s “SAD!” or ms. queen of pop britney spears’ “Toxic” more iconic?
for starters when designing a product u gotta do research first bc we don’t want any of that fake news ish and this way we can discover users’ goals and needs #hcde210
for my #hcde210 class i’m gonna give u guys a hashtag Fun and Relatable crash course on human-centered design and why it totally rocks

hi TAs i recommend not seeing the rest of my twitter
After having my first experience with human centered design and engineering, I began to understand how fundamental inclusion and accessibility are in the design process. #HCDE210
Let me educate y’all about Human Centered Design Engineering #HCDE210
I can’t say that being able to ideate endless amounts of original and unique ideas is easy, but using simple ideation methods and following the HCD process model I know that you can come up with an innovative product that you can feel confident in! #HCDE210
As you can see I deferred judgment by ideating something that is obviously not doable with the city’s current resources. Though, I would not have been able to come up with this wild boat-transportation idea without following Osborn’s principles! #HCDE210
